Dave Baudino was a long time OCA board member who donated his 1949-1950 Community Concert Association "student membership" card to our archives.
Former OCA board member "Winky" Benson kindly donated her 1941-1942 Civic Membership Association card. The Civic Membership Association was the predecessor association to Ottawa Concert Association.
This early, undated advertising flier from The Civic Music Association lists the names of many of the Ottawa association's directors, names you may know The phone number (875) and the membership price ($5.50) are particularly interesting.
This program from 1950-1951 highlighted the Columbia Grand Opera Quartet and shows a decidedly classical bent to the programming from that time.
Mitch Miller is perhaps one of the most famous artists hosted by the OCA. His TV variety show was a fixture for many years. Ottawa native Bob McGrath was a regular vocalist in his ensemble and Miller's sing-a-longs were trademark.
